Solicitor Outreach Service

The Law Society of New South Wales Solicitor Outreach Service (SOS) is an independent and confidential psychological service for NSW solicitors.

Through SOS, NSW Solicitors can access up to three psychological sessions per financial year and 24/7 telephone crisis counselling, funded by the Law Society of NSW. Find out more about this service here.

BarCare

BarCare is an independent professional counselling service designed to assist members of the NSW Bar manage emotional and stress-related problems, such as marital breakdowns, drug or alcohol dependency and practice pressures.

BarCare is available to all members of the Bar Association and their immediate families. If a member requires assistance, he or she is encouraged to contact Penny Johnston, Director, Care and Assistance, to arrange an appointment for a consultation. She may be contacted on (02) 9331 3872 or email pjohnston@barcare.org.

Alternatively Barristers and their families seeking assistance can directly contact one of the panel specialists listed on the web site to make an appointment for a consultation.
